Reading 01 · pH 8.0
Naturally alkaline, not made alkaline.
Most alkaline waters are pushed above neutral with electricity or added minerals. REALM comes out of the ground at 8.0 and stays there, because the rock it passes through buffers it.
Reading 02 · 160 mg/L
Enough mineral to taste. Not enough to weigh it down.
Total dissolved solids is simply how much mineral is in the water. Too little and it tastes flat. Too much and it turns heavy or bitter. REALM sits in the light-and-structured middle.

Reading 03 · Contaminants
113 things they looked for. 113 they did not find.
Each square is one contaminant on the lab panel. Every one came back below the level the instruments can detect, including all eighteen PFAS compounds.
What Is On The Panel

What Is Actually In It
Six minerals, dissolved out of the rock.
This is the whole ingredient list. Bar length shows how much of each, relative to bicarbonate, the largest.
The natural buffer. It is what holds the pH at 8.0 in the bottle without anything being added.
The mineral you can feel. It gives the water body and a rounded, soft finish.
Adds a subtle crispness at the front of the sip. Common in Adirondack groundwater.
Far below the level where sulfate starts to taste bitter, so there is no mineral edge.
Naturally very low. The water does not read salty, and it meets the low-sodium definition.
Picked up from quartz in the bedrock. Associated with a silky texture on the palate.
And Not In It
The absences that matter most.
Industrial “forever chemicals” that persist in the body and the environment. None detected at a 1.8 ng/L reporting limit.
Solvents, fuel components, and disinfection byproducts. None detected.
Agricultural residues that reach shallow groundwater. None detected.
The standard indicator organisms for water safety. Both reported absent.
Naturally occurring radionuclides found in some deep aquifers. None detected.
No chlorine, fluoride, or mineral dosing. Fluoride itself measured below 0.10 mg/L.

The dominant cation is calcium and the dominant anion is bicarbonate, the classic signature of carbonate-rock filtration.
160 mg/L total dissolved solids. Low enough to taste clean, high enough to carry structure and finish.
Roughly 120 mg/L as calcium carbonate. Hardness is the calcium and magnesium fraction, and it is what gives water body on the palate.
Under 35 mg/L per serving, which meets the FDA definition of a low-sodium beverage. Relevant to anyone managing sodium intake.
Natural bicarbonate alkalinity holds pH at 8.0 without electrolysis or added alkali, and resists shifts in flavor over time in glass.
No reverse osmosis, no remineralization, no fluoride, no chlorine. Ozone is used to sanitize the glass, not the water. Nothing is added and nothing is removed.
Above neutral. Smooth, rounded mouthfeel. EPA range 6.5 to 8.5.
Total mineral content. EPA secondary limit 500 mg/L.

Values are from the certified analytical report issued by Phoenix Environmental Laboratories, Inc. on January 12, 2026 for sample CU95808 (drinking water, collected December 15, 2025). “Below detection” means the result was under the laboratory reporting limit for that method. Methods include EPA 200.7, 200.8, 245.1, 300.0, 524.2, 525.3, 537.1, 900.0, 903.0 and 904.0 and Standard Methods 2120B, 2130B, 2320B, 2540C and 9223B.
Bicarbonate is the principal buffer in human extracellular fluid, the system that holds blood pH in its narrow range. It is also what makes an alkaline water naturally alkaline rather than electrically treated.
Calcium is a required structural mineral for bone and teeth and a signaling ion in muscle contraction. Water is a bioavailable, calorie-free source of it, and calcium is the main contributor to REALM’s rounded mouthfeel.
Magnesium is a cofactor in hundreds of enzymatic reactions, including the ones that release energy from ATP. Dietary intake is commonly below recommended levels, so mineral water is a meaningful contributor.
Potassium works with sodium to maintain cellular fluid balance and normal nerve and muscle function. Present here in trace amounts, as it occurs in the rock.
Dissolved silica is characteristic of waters that have passed through quartz-bearing formations. It is associated with a silky, slightly viscous texture on the palate.
Both stay low, which is why there is no salinity, no bitterness, and no sulfurous note. What you taste at the finish is mineral, not treatment.
